NLArts is a Philadelphia arts organization that expands each child’s appreciation for, and participation in, their community. This is accomplished through interaction with artists and educators in neighborhood-based performing and visual arts activities.
NLArts provides innovative arts programs to children of Philadelphia at weekend and summer workshops taught by local artists. Programs recognize and teach to children’s individual learning styles and interests by connecting them with the wealth of artistic, cultural, academic, and historic resources throughout Philadelphia.
There are 5 main programs that repeat each year, which change and evolve depending on the artists who are leading them. Most NLArts programs take place at the Northern Liberties Community Center on 3rd Street and Fairmount Avenue. The 5 main programs are: Summer Camp, Holiday Arts, One Day Camps during School Closings Northern Lights and First Friday Workshops.
