TEACHING ARTISTS

Nate Pope Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, I grew up surrounded by art and music. I have been working in early childhood education since settling in Philadelphia three years ago. I love to bring music into the classroom, and always try to foster creative collaboration with kids. In other words, I love loud, messy projects and giving kids the freedom to run with their ideas. I'm fascinated with the way the city and nature interact, and am excited to utilize our neighborhood's outdoor spaces for play, performance, and artistic inspiration.

I also enjoy watercoloring, drawing, and hand building with clays and ceramics.
