Don’t miss the “Picnic” Gala October 18!

Food and family fun at Liberty Lands…

While we were not able to hold our planned annual celebration in August, we are pleased to offer this safe way for our community to gather and support NLArts.  Start at the Community Center and pick up your Gala bag which will include vouchers for food from Ortleibs, Standard Tap and Urban Village.  Gather your food then meet up at Liberty Lands and enjoy a picnic along with storytelling and drumming and collaborative painting.  Cost is $50 per family (limit of 35)  and registration is available on our website!  Big thanks to PTSSD for their support of this event.

Our group will meet on October 17, 24, 31 and November 7,  10:00 am - 12:00 PM.  Go to our YouTube channel to see some of the past video creations from Lindo and his students and head to our website to register!

Curate the Center

We want to celebrate young artists!  In partnership with the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association, NLArts will install art in the windows at the Community Center. This opportunity is for K-8 students who want to share their work with the community!  If you have some cool things to show, email Jessica with your ideas at nlartsorg@gmail.com.  Can’t wait to see your creations!

Art at Home

Enjoy fall leaves long after they have fallen! This simple activity is fun for all ages -- all you need are your feet, crayons and paper, scissors, glue and string too if you are feeling fancy…

Take a walk outside and gather leaves.  Look for different shapes and sizes.

Arrange them on a hard, flat surface and place a piece of blank paper on top.
Then gently rub a crayon over holding paper in place.
Enjoy as is, or cut out  the leaves and glue them (use a small piece of paper behind)
to string or yarn for a long lasting garland!

Have fun with color and creating together!
